About the Client

A Development Finance Institution focused on mobilising resources to support sustainable infrastructure and economic growth in Senegal and across Africa. By investing in key sectors such as energy, agriculture, and social infrastructure, they drive impactful projects that enhance economic development and improve quality of life.

The Project

The client sought an Investment Consultant to develop a roadmap for a $100M subordinated debt fund focused on renewable energy and efficiency investments, this included input on how to structure the fund for launch in 2025, targeting 280 MW of renewable energy over seven years. The consultant also needed to strategise on how to unlock local currency financing from banks. The project required a great deal of stakeholder management across the public and private sectors.
